This month marks our 150th edition of the Wood Fired Newsletter! We are so excited and thankful for this grand opportunity to educate, entertain, and connect with you through our newsletter for almost 13 years. It has become such a fun way to reach out to and serve ~100,000 of our dear friends every month! Here’s to many more years of a good thing still to come!!!

As we embrace fall and the season of appreciation, we hope you enjoy the recipes below to create a wood fired feast of your own. You can also check out some of the alternate ideas from our Community Question of other favorite dishes you can make that will take your baking to a whole new level.

Archived Newsletters Now Available on the Forno Bravo Website

As we celebrate the 150th edition, did you know that we have archived editions of the Wood Fired Newsletter on our website going all the way back to May 2008? It’s true! One of the nice things about wood fired cooking is it is a “cumulative sport” – the skills and recipes, knowledge and memories build over time and are as relevant now as they were when first introduced.

If you head over to our Wood Fired Blog on the website, and look to the right, you will see a header called “Blog Categories.” One of those categories is “Newsletters”, click on it and it will batch them up for you, so you can scroll through 13 years of Newsletters all in one place. (Forno Bravo has been in the business of making and selling pizza ovens for 18 years. The newsletter didn’t really kick off until a few years into the process, but we are sure glad it did!) JP and Tina Sherman – Casa2G100 Pizza Oven

JP and Tina Sherman of North Carolina worked with a talented contractor to design and install a massive outdoor kitchen and entertaining space for their home. The star of the show became their Casa2G100 pizza oven. Because it was a modular kit, the oven’s finish could be integrated into the design of the whole space in a seamless way. In this case, blocky stone siding and smooth black countertops provide a sense of permanency, but with an elegant flair. Enjoy this short video and learn more about this dynamic couple. Their excitement is contagious!

What inspired you to buy or build a wood fired oven?

This month’s question harkens back to beginnings. Forno Bravo started when our founder wanted a wood fired oven like he had seen on a trip to Italy and couldn’t find one. This inspired him to travel back to Italy, learn to build one, and then share those plans with the world (and later pre-built ovens as well!)
